Steven and Iolite, searching for answers

This here my entry for dou-hong's gemsona contest.
It's not much in detail visually, but it still gives the hint of a story.
I'm still working out the details on Iolites' backstory, but here's what the premise of this piece is about.

"Steven encountered Iolite when He came across Iolites' crashed space vessel while out on a mission with the gems. After finding and activating the release lock on a hibernation cell that Iolite was in, they brought Iolite back to the temple for questioning, ( after a bit of a tense moment that is...). Iolite tells them that He came to earth to search for any clues that might help him find his 'beloved' again, to which Steven eagerly volunteers to help. now both Steven and Iolite, along with the Crystal Gems, start following the trail for the answers Iolite seeks to find. But can Iolite truly be trusted? Is what he's saying the truth! If anything else, just who is this beloved He cares so deeply about!?!"

I'd still like to work on this gemsona more, permitted Dou-hong allowed of course.
Right now though, I'll just have to put this little artsy project on hiatus for now until I can afford some "proper" art software, and besides I've still got some school work to get done!
